A sample of jobs through the shop. What came in, what went out, and how long it took. Illustrative, for a fictional business.

Mezzanine framing. Distribution unit

420 m² storage deck. Columns, primary and secondary beams, and edge protection, profiled and drilled in-house then bolted on site over two weekends to avoid shutting the floor. Drawing to despatch: 14 days.

Plant guarding. Food production line

38 mesh-infill panels with hinged access sections and interlock brackets, stainless throughout for washdown. Surveyed against a running line, so every panel was made to a measured opening rather than a nominal one. Drawing to despatch: 11 days.

External balustrade. Civic building

64 m of handrail to a curved edge, rolled in-section rather than segmented so the sightline stays true. Hot-dip galvanised and powder coated to a specified RAL. Drawing to despatch: 21 days.

Access platform. Water treatment

Two-tier platform with kick plates, cage ladder and gate. Assembled and trial-fitted in the shop, then broken down into six craneable sections for a confined site. Drawing to despatch: 16 days.

Bespoke brackets. Retrofit run

310 off, four variants. Nested to a single plate order to keep the unit cost down; first-off inspected and signed before the balance was released. Drawing to despatch: 6 days.

Structural repair. Loading dock

Corroded edge beam cut out and replaced in situ over a single night shift, with temporary propping designed and supplied. Not our steelwork originally. Survey to completion: 9 days.
